Enhancing Earth Hour's Collaboration Across 4,000 Cities and 88 Countries
WWF's Earth Hour is a global campaign that increases awarenesss of climate change to people of all ages, nationalities, races and backgrounds. On 28th March 2009 there were hundreds of millions of people in more than 4,000 cities and towns in over 88 countries across 25 time zones all voting for action on climate change.
Collaborating across a diverse international group can be a challenge if the correct tools and training are not implemented. As a CustomWare Community initiative, CustomWare delivered valuable Confluence education to key collaboration leaders within the Earth Hour's Global division. These services helped increase communication throughout Earth Hour, which in turn had its message understood and actioned by millions. With these key steps of having the right tool, tailoring it to their needs, and learning to use it effectively, Earth Hour overcame the collaboration challenges commonly faced by countless enterprises, organisations and charities every day.
