Try it live

As your company grows, new hires will join and new teams will be formed. Keeping up with what is going on within the company may become a challenge. This team dashboard gives you an overview of all of the new changes and updates. Moreover, it helps managers and team members to keep track of their tasks, especially when everyone is remote. You can also get quick access to create new onboarding pages, teams homepages, to-do lists, and meeting notes.

In Confluence, create a new space to house your team dashboard. Then, create sub-pages for each category with the following hierarchy:

Parent page: Team dashboard

  • Children page 1: On-boarding pages
  • Children page 2: Team homepage
  • Children page 3: To-do list
  • Children page 4: Meeting notes
  • Children page 5: Weekly meeting notes

Using Scaffolding Forms & Templates, you can build templates for each article's category. It helps to streamline the format and structure of your published pages.

We have example templates ready for you to use:

How to use the Team dashboard template:

This template will help you to kick start your team dashboard without having to build it from scratch. It provides an overview of the new hires, monthly statistics as well as a list of the latest team homepages, statistics of teams' sizes, created to-do lists, meeting notes, and pending tasks.

1. List of created on-boarding pages, team homepages, to-do lists and meeting notes

With the help of Reporting for Confluence, created on-boarding pages, team homepages, to-do lists and meeting notes will be auto-populated and displayed in the dashboard. This feature is already embedded within the template and as soon as it is used, the report will display the results.

2. Quick access to create new on-boarding page, team homepage, to-do lists and meeting notes

The team dashboard also acts as the main hub for creating new pages through templates, which can easily be done using Linking for Confluence. Simply, add the title of the page you're creating based on the listed categories. Note that a postfix of "'s on-boarding", "team homepage", "to-do list", "meeting notes" and "weekly meeting notes" are included for each page category.

3. Reports and overview

From the dashboard, get access to some statistics. Reporting for Confluence can retrieve this information:

  • Overview of new hires: This pulls data about how many new hires have joined the company over the year grouped by month. It is derived from the created on-boarding pages.
  • Team's size:  This populates the number of people who joined a team based on the list of team members added within the team's homepage.
  • Pending weekly task: With multiple to-do lists created, it can be hard to monitor uncompleted tasks. This panel gives you an overview of weekly  pending tasks from the created to-do lists. When a task is done, it will automatically be removed from the panel.
  • Meeting overview: With many meetings going on, this panel gives you a quick overview of what was discussed in a meeting. It details important information such as meeting date, participants, goals and decisions.
  • Things to be done by end of week: This specifically captures "Action Items" that are not completed from each of the weekly meeting notes, giving you clear information about which tasks are still pending.
