This template simplifies managing your to-do list by making it easy to capture, categorize and prioritize tasks. Getting started is easy and, as new tasks are added to your plate, just include them and update the list. It's as easy as it sounds!

How to use the To-do list template:

Step 1. List all the tasks

In the "Daily Tasks" section, write down everything that needs to be done, without exception. Tasks that are due today or tomorrow, even if they just came up a few moments ago, should be included so you don't forget about them. With this as your go-to guide, you'll be sure to get reminders of what you need to do and when. If there are any calls and meetings, schedule them based on date and time in the "Scheduled calls and meetings" section.

Step 2. Take a step back

We're all guilty of getting caught up in our daily tasks and losing focus on other larger projects. That's where the  "Weekly Tasks" section comes in. Use this to keep track of what needs to be done in a specific week, so you can be prepared or even get a head start on the things that you need to do. It'll keep things fresh in your mind, as well as mentally prepare you for the tasks ahead.

Step 3. Look at the bigger picture

When you're part of a project, you need to be able to plan and manage your own bandwidth so you are aware of incoming tasks. That's what "Upcoming Tasks" are for - to make sure you plan for what is to come.  Log your future tasks and projects here to help manage expectations on what you can deliver, taking into account what you are currently working on and existing deadlines.

Step 4. Don't forget to update the tasks

Once you have completed a task, don't forget to mark it complete! The last thing you want to do is to be doing a task only to get that deja-vu feeling, and realize you are duplicating work and wasting precious time.  Once a task is complete, update your list; after all, there's nothing more satisfying than crossing something off your to-do list. Your list serves as a source of truth so be sure to keep it updated.
